ANIELA PARYS
PHILOSOPHY
Aniela Parys is a project based on the revival of sustainable clothing manufacturing, photography and artist collaborations. The project started in Portland, Oregon but later on relocated to Barcelona, Spain. They use natural or recycled fibers and dead-stock fabrics whenever they can and design each piece mindful of their environmental impact.
“My purpose has always been to offer an alternative to fast fashion and change the way people think about clothing.” – Aniela Parys

COLLECTION
Aniela Parys is a slow fashion clothing project based on sustainability, photography and artist collaborations. Each garment is made in Barcelona, either in their production studio or by a local family-owned manufacturer three blocks away from their headquarters. Their collections consist of hand made luxury lingeries, organic loungewear and urban statement pieces.
FABRICS
The majority of Aniela Parys collections are made of dead-stock fabrics sourced in Barcelona. These fabrics are leftovers from productions of fast fashion companies and have been left as waste. When using new materials the brand only use organic and sustainable fibers such organic cotton, linen and recycled fibers. The new swimwear by Aniela Parys is produced with ECONYL®, which is a 100% regenerated nylon fiber made from pre- and post-consumer waste. They also use Lyocell and Tencel which are one of their most sustainable fabrics. Like rayon fiber, Lyocell and Tencel is created by converting dissolved wood pulp into fiber by using a lox-toxicity solvent. During the production process 99.5% of the chemicals are reused from cotton productions which reduces the chemical waste and makes it a more sustainable option.
SUSTAINABILITY
Aniela Parys believes in the slow fashion movement, therefore they value quality over quantity. The collections are made using primarily dead-stock fabrics, which are left overs from larger company productions, as well as new materials made from organic and sustainable fibers like organic cotton, linen and recycled fibers. The brand also takes into deep consideration each material production, dying-, and transportation process before selecting it for their collection.
